Event recap: Transforming your EHCP and SEND processes
Our SEND forums in October provided an overview of the work that we and our partners are doing in the arena of SEND and EHC Plans, the tools and solutions that we are working on with our customers across the country and how they are making a difference.
Imosphere, Open Objects and Peopletoo are three organisations that recognise the increasing demand and stretch on resources for Education Health and Social Care Plans and have the expertise and tools to support Local Authorities to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.
Imosphere have been working with Open Objects since 2015, supporting their digital transformation work across the sector. More recently we have partnered with Peopletoo to support Local Authorities in implementing new tools that help improve the EHCP processes, the management of resources, and outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Here’s a summary of the presentations delivered during the sessions:
Introduction to the EHC Toolset
Rob Wilding, Project Development Lead at Imosphere
Rob provided a run-through of the four tools that form the FACE EHC Toolset, developed in collaboration with Open Objects and their customers. Rob also talked about the current challenges for the EHC process and how our tools can help.
EHC Hub: Working smarter for better outcomes
Chris Evans, Head of Product & Strategy at Open Objects
Chris demonstrated Open Objects’ EHC Hub – an innovative digital platform for families, professionals and education settings to engage, contribute and collaborate on EHC assessments, plans and reviews. He described the customer-driven development of the Hub and how the Hub addresses key challenges facing Local Authorities.
A fairer approach to allocating top-up funding
Oliver Brown, Head of Care Solutions at Imosphere
Oliver discussed why there is a need for an Education Banding Tool (EBT), what it does, and how accurate the Imosphere EBT is.
The challenges and opportunities for High Needs SEND (Peopletoo)
Mark Gray, Services Director at Peopletoo
Mark considered the key challenges and how Peopletoo are supporting local authorities to meet these.
Thanks to everyone who joined us – we hope you found the events useful and enjoyed the chance to share learning and network with others from across the country.
