Driving innovation and efficiency in adult social care: A year of progress

Unlocking over £3 billion in savings and reducing service demand: The impact of our tools on adult social care across England

As we reflect on this year’s achievements, we’re excited to share the impactful strides made across adult social care (ASC) through data-driven solutions and the commitment of our local authority partners. This year, our work with local authorities across England – including several new local authority partners – has shed light on opportunities for significant advancements in care and cost management.

Our tools have empowered local authorities to potentially unlock over £3 billion in nationwide savings and reduce preventable spending by £10 million. Together, we’ve supported more than 110,000 budget assessments, representing 20% of all personal budgets in England, while driving a 25% reduction in service demand – a testament to the power of citizen self-assessment and strengths-based interventions.

Addressing challenges and the importance of innovation

Despite such progress, adult social care has faced considerable challenges this year, with the sector grappling with uncertainties around future resources. Yet, it underscores the importance of innovative tools like ours, which help local authorities make data-informed decisions, ensure fair and sustainable budgets, and ultimately support a more connected, person-centred care system with improved outcomes.

A shared vision for a sustainable, resilient system

Our work reflects a shared vision: to build a sustainable and resilient ASC system that improves lives and addresses evolving needs through collaboration and advanced technology. Here’s to the remarkable outcomes we’ve achieved together and the promising future ahead.
